March Music Student of the Month

Lucas Cosgrave is our Music Student of the Month! Nominated by his teacher at Project Music, Lucas is a 2nd-grade student from Stamford, Connecticut. He plays the flute.

Tell us a little bit about yourself. Who nominated you? How long have you been playing your instrument?

My name is Lucas and I am 7 years old and I started to play flute four months ago. I really enjoy coming and playing flute at Project Music.

What has music and your program taught you?

Ms Carmen taught me how to blow, read music, the notes, and how to play the notes. Also, that I have to sit straight to play my flute and how to play songs.

What is your favorite piece of music to play?

I love to play Joe Avery Blues.

What do you like to do for fun? Do you have any hobbies?

Sometimes I like to draw for fun. I like to play pickle with my friend Dwane.

What is your favorite subject in school? Why?

Art because I love painting, drawing, and coloring and I also like music.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to be a Doctor when I grow up.
